Forbes and a new external hard drive

So, I decided to get a new external hard drive. Some interesting developments in external hard drive technology have come about, and I decided that it was time for me to take advantage of it. What I bought was a Seagate Free Agent Go with 160GB of storage.The Free Agent Go is unique from other external hard drives because it replicates your desktop environment on any computer. What that means, in plain English, is that I can take this little gizmo, plug it into any computer, and have all my programs and all my files at my immediate disposal. It’s like taking my computer to go. I can plug this in to any computer, instantly connect to my server, transfer files, save files, download files, use photoshop, use filezilla, use illustrator. I can do ANYTHING. No installation required. Amazing.

If my computer ever crashes, it doesn’t matter anymore because this little number IS my computer. I’m ranting and raving because I couldn’t be happier. It fits in the palm of my hand too!

Yeah. So our page count is officially nearing 100. I expect it will happen in a day or two. By Monday for sure. This is so exciting! I can only imagine, a year from now, how huge this site will be. It’s so satisfying.

Let’s talk about a few quick stats. First, our Alexa rank is continuously dropping. Our 3 month official rank is now down to 382,259, but the site has only been online for a month. So, if you divide that by three, you get something like 125,000. That’s pretty close to our one week rank, which is officially 102, 146. By the time our site has been online for three months, our rank will probably be under 100,000! The site ranks 25,084 in Canada, 55,728 in the US, and 65,458 in UK! Amazing!

Now, a lot of people have been saying that this site is a gimmick. I couldn’t disagree more. The fact that we advise every page owner on how and why to keep their page’s content fresh and updated will ensure that quality content gets on the pages. If quality content is on the pages, visitors will return. The site is set up to be so dynamic that it will thrive into the future, as more and more people put a little effort into their pages. Mark my words: one day, this site will be huge.
